Job summary

La Palma Intercommunity Hospital is seeking a credentialing-focused professional to support the Medical Staff Office in a fast-paced environment.

The role involves managing credentialing processes, including applications, reappointments and competencies, while interfacing with physicians and hospital leaders to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred or equivalent education/experience.
• Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) and/or CPMSM preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Medical Staff Services Department and/or acute care hospital experience required.
• Must have strong computer, communication, and writing skills.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Must exhibit a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and medical staff services and/or acute care hospital experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Navigate multiple projects in a demanding environment while supporting a busy Medical Staff Office.
• Responsible for assigned Medical Staff Departments as assigned by Director/Manager.
• Facilitates all aspects of credentialing, including applications, reappointments, proctoring and competencies.
• Interfaces with physicians and hospital management staff in a positive and professional manner.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $28.00 to $42.06. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
