Job summary

Olympia Fields Hospital is seeking a credentialing specialist to support the busy Medical Staff Office. You will manage assigned departments and facilitate credentialing processes, including applications, reappointments, and proctoring, while maintaining professional interactions with physicians and hospital leadership.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years in medical staff services or acute care settings, with strong written and verbal communication and solid MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent education/experience preferred.
• Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years technical/administrative experience in Medical Staff Services or acute care hospital setting preferred.
• Strong computer, communication, and writing skills required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and medical staff services experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Navigate multiple projects in a demanding environment while supporting the Medical Staff Office.
• Be responsible for assigned Medical Staff Departments as directed by Director/Manager.
• Facilitate all aspects of credentialing: applications, reappointments, proctoring and competencies.
• Interface with physicians and hospital management staff in a professional manner.

Qualifications

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $24.00 to $34.76. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
