Job summary

The University of Vermont Health Network seeks a Medical Staff Compliance Coordinator to ensure providers meet documentation and credentialing requirements across affiliated hospitals. You will monitor CME, immunizations, compliance training, dues, and certifications to keep the medical staff in regulatory alignment.

Role requires collaboration with physicians and staff, with duties spanning maintaining health exams and policy adherence to support for privileging processes across our Vermont

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in business or healthcare related field required.
• CPMSM and/or CPCS certification desired.
• Minimum of 3 years in health care administrative support or provider data field.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite to include Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel.
• Experience with Credentialing, Privileging, and/or Medical Staff Services including knowledge of Joint Commission standards, CMS requirements, and Federal/State regulations.
• Experience working with physicians and other providers.
• Experience with provider management software systems related to medical staff data and/or credentialing.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and track CME, immunizations, compliance training, and health exams to ensure up-to-date regulatory compliance.
• Manage health professional documentation related to membership and privileges.
• Support credentialing and privileging processes in alignment with policies and standards.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Medical Staff Compliance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all providers within UVMHN Medical Staff meet all necessary requirements for maintaining appropriate documentation related to the requirements for membership and privileges. They monitor and track documents such as CME (Continuing Medical Education), immunizations, compliance training, medical staff dues, specialty certifications for privileging, and health exams to ensure that providers are up to date and in compliance with regulatory standards, state regulations, and established policies. The Medical Staff Compliance Coordinator plays a vital role in maintaining the integrity and quality of the medical staff by ensuring that providers are compliant with all necessary requirements.

EDUCATION:

• Associate’s degree in business or healthcare related degree required.




• CPMSM and/or CPCS certification desired.

EXPERIENCE:

• Required



• Minimum of 3 years in health care administrative support or provider data field.


• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite to include Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel



• Preferred
