Job summary

SSM Health Saint Clare Hospital in Fenton is seeking a PRN Sonographer to perform diagnostic ultrasound exams with a focus on abdominal, OB/GYN, breast, and vascular imaging. The role requires completing a Sonography program and obtaining two or more ARDMS/CCI registrations.

No experience is required beyond the credentialing, with shifts available including nights and weekends. The candidate will operate ultrasound equipment, ensure image quality and safety, and submit high-quality images to

Qualifications

• Completion of Sonography program and 2+ ARDMS/CCI registrations for the department(s) (e.g., Abdomen, OB/GYN, Breast, Echo, Vascular).
• Registration as a sonographer with two or more applicable registries is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams and generate quality images for interpretation.
• Set up and adjust all equipment; maneuver transducers for exams.
• Ensure safety standards, QC procedures, and report issues promptly.

Schedule: PRN as needed· Pay Range starts at:$37/hour Daily pay available!· Shift Differentials: Available for night, weekend, and additional shifts· Location: MO-SSM Health St. Clare Hospital - FentonCompletion of Sonography program and 2 or more ARDMS or CCI registries in Abdomen, OB/GYN, Breast, Echo, or Vascular.Performs diagnostic procedures on patients using ultrasound waves to examine tissue and body structure, providing quality images for interpretation. The registration requirement for this position is a registered sonographer holding two or more registries appropriate for the department(s) in which the sonographer works. Ex: ABD/OB, ABD/MSK, ABD/BR, OB/FE.

Sets up and adjusts all equipment and manually maneuvers transducers to perform exams.Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures.Recognizes significant structures, artifacts, pathology and equipment limitations.Ensures equipment is properly functioning. Reports potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel. Lock/tag out equipment if appropriate.Ensures prompt submission of all high-quality images and documents sent to PACS (image quality,images labeled correctlyand patient data/history).Maintains compliance with regulatory agencies.Completion of a Sonography program
