Voorhees Pediatric Facility in Voorhees Township, NJ is seeking a Medical Social Worker for a part-time, flexible schedule (24 hours/week). The role supports medically fragile residents and families, coordinating care with an interdisciplinary team.

Requirements include a MSW, NJ license, 2 years healthcare experience with children and families; Bachelor's acceptable with MSW preferred. Competitive hourly compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Social Work degree from an accredited School of Social Work.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Valid New Jersey Social Work License from the New Jersey Board of Social Work Examiners.
• Minimum of two years healthcare experience, preferably with special needs children and families.
• Proficient in computer use and standard office software applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide social work services to residents, families, and significant others to support coping with illness, disability, and extended care placement.
• Assist residents in maximizing the benefits of health care and community resources and services.
• Coordinate care and services in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Support each resident in achieving and maintaining the highest level of physical, cognitive, emotional, spiritual, and psychosocial well‑being.
• Provide services in accordance with individualized assessments and comprehensive plans of care.

About Us:

Voorhees Pediatric Facility (VPF) is a nationally recognized pediatric specialty care center with 119 inpatient beds and the largest freestanding pediatric ventilator program in the country. VPF is Joint Commission–accredited at the highest level and provides care for medically fragile children across inpatient, rehabilitation, medical daycare, and educational programs through The Bancroft School at VPF. We deliver care through a collaborative, interdisciplinary team focused on the whole child.

As a Medical Social Worker, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Providing social work services to residents, families, and significant others to support coping with illness, disability, and extended care placement.
• Assisting residents in maximizing the benefits of health care and community resources and services.
• Coordinating care and services in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Supporting each resident in achieving and maintaining the highest level of physical, cognitive, emotional, spiritual, and psychosocial well-being.
• Providing services in accordance with individualized assessments and comprehensive plans of care.

Compensation:

Hourly rate is determined by education and experience.

• Master's Degree of Social Work: $31.74 - $35.41
