Job summary

The Glocoms Group, INC is seeking a part-time Medical Simulation Operator at CCATT-STC in St. Paul, MN. You will support, configure, and run high-fidelity patient simulators and the LMS during training events to enhance learning outcomes for healthcare teams.

Required are 1+ year clinical experience, BLS-HCP certification, and hands-on programming of pediatric/adult simulators (Laerdal, Nasco, iSimulate, LLEAP). Commitment ~32–40 hours monthly.

Qualifications

• Certified medical simulation operator to manipulate physiological data and interpret responses.
• Maintain BLS-HCP certification.
• At least 1 year of clinical experience in military or civilian settings.
• At least 1 year of experience programming human patient simulators (Laerdal, Nasco, iSimulate, LLEAP).

Job description

Location: CCATT-STC, 133rd Airlift Wing, St. Paul, MN

Hours: 4 days per month (approximately 32-40 hours per month / up to 480 hours annually). Work schedule is normally M-F 0730-1630. The work schedule is flexible and coordinated with the class schedule but will not typically exceed 32 hours per month.

Description:

• Provide technical expertise and support on operating a high-fidelity patient simulator system. Will assist with the use of advanced learning technologies and methodologies to improve medical education and training for healthcare teams for the purpose of improving patient outcomes.


• Operator will be using a “state-of-the-art”, Learning Management System. Primary Tasks will include equipment setup, troubleshooting, operational logistics, and operating the LMS solution that will be used to view and evaluate learner performance during training and simulation events.


• Operator will prepare training environments, operate simulation equipment/assets, and recover equipment and environment for scheduled training and upon request CCATT-STC Staff

• Be a certified medical simulation operator in order to be able to manipulate
  physiological data and interpret participant’s response to simulated scenarios.


• Maintain Basic Life Support-Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP) certification.


• Have at least one year of clinical experience in military or civilian setting.


• Have at least 1 years of experience with programming of human patient simulators using primarily Laerdal & Nasco simulators as well as iSimulate and LLEAP operating systems.
