A leading health organization is seeking a medical secretary to manage medical records, perform administrative duties, and maintain files. Candidates should possess a high school diploma or GED, along with knowledge of medical terminology and proficiency in computer usage. Previous clerical experience is also preferred.
Prepares medical records and case related material; maintains medical files; and performs other clerical procedures as requested.
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY
High school graduate or GED equivalent required. Secretarial Science course graduate/certificate preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, the use of computers for word processing/data base, and knowledge of record keeping required.
EXPERIENCE
Three months to one-year experience as medical secretary preferred. Previous clerical experience required.
