Job summary

ScribeEMR is seeking a Medical Scribe for remote work in the United States. Must have 2+ years of medical scribing experience, be bilingual (Spanish/English), and proficient with Athena Health (AthenaOne) EMR/EHR.

Independent work style required with strong medical terminology knowledge and 60 WPM typing. Responsibilities include documenting care for geriatric and chronic patients and coordinating with care teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of medical scribing experience.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and abbreviations.
• Proficiency with Athena Health (AthenaOne) EMR/EHR.
• Experience supporting Senior Primary Care/Geriatric Medicine providers.
• Experience documenting care for patients with chronic conditions and complex medical histories.
• Knowledge of home health integrated care models: home health nursing services, in-home therapy services, care coordination teams, transitional care post-discharge.
• Minimum typing speed of 60 WPM.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent computer literacy and basic troubleshooting skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.

Job description

Pay Scale: Based on experience. From $15 per hour.

Location: Virtual. US RESIDENTS ONLY.

Required Qualifications of the Medical Scribe :

• 2+ years of medical scribing experience.
• Bilingual (Spanish and English)

• Proficiency with Athena Health (AthenaOne) EMR/EHR.
• Experience supporting Senior Primary Care/Geriatric Medicine providers.
• Experience documenting care for patients with chronic conditions and complex medical histories.
• Knowledge of home health integrated care models:
• Home health nursing services
• In-home therapy services
• Care coordination teams
• Transitional care following hospital discharge
• Understanding of care plans for elderly patients managing chronic illnesses or recovering from injuries or hospitalizations.
• Minimum typing speed of 60 WPM.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent computer literacy, technical aptitude, and basic troubleshooting skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Organization and time management skills
• Technical/Computer Requirements of the Medical Scribe:
• Reliable, high-speed internet connection (WIFI or ethernet)
• USB headset with microphone
• Laptop or desktop with updated security
• Private and quiet workspace
