Job summary

Midwest Pain Clinics seeks a Medical Scribe for Pain Management in Omaha, NE. The role supports clinicians in outpatient settings, handling patient histories, vital signs, documentation, and room preparation.

Responsibilities include charting, assisting during procedures, coordinating follow-ups, and ensuring HIPAA-compliant handling of patient information. The position offers a Monday-Thursday schedule with no weekends and a focus on developing clinical skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 3 years of medical assistant or medical scribe experience required.
• Must be familiar with medical terminology and have excellent typing skills.
• Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• Previous pain management, orthopedic, or spine experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for appointments by obtaining histories, vital signs, and other clinical information.
• Document relevant patient information and assist with accurate medical records.
• Prepare examination and procedure rooms for patient visits.
• Support providers during examinations and in-office procedures.
• Administer medications under appropriate physician supervision.
• Assist with pre- and post-procedure care and patient transfers.
• Coordinate appointments, follow-ups, and waitlist activity.
• Complete patient check-in and verify demographic and medical information.

About Midwest Pain Clinics

What You Will Do

• Provide a professional and compassionate experience for patients and their families
• Follow HIPAA, OSHA, and organizational policies and procedures
• Complete required training and other assigned responsibilities
