Job summary

Midwest Pain Clinics in Omaha, NE is seeking a Medical Assistant/Scribe to support clinicians in an outpatient pain management setting. You’ll gain hands-on experience across clinical care and medical documentation while working a Monday-Thursday schedule.

The role offers no weekend shifts, a collaborative team, and opportunities to develop clinical skills while providing compassionate patient care. You’ll assist with histories, records, and coordinating follow-ups in a fast-paced clinic.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 3 years of medical assistant or medical scribe experience required.
• Must be familiar with medical terminology and have excellent typing skills.
• Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• Previous pain management, orthopedic, or spine experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for appointments by obtaining histories and vital signs.
• Document patient information and assist with medical records.
• Prepare examination and procedure rooms for patient visits.
• Support providers during examinations and in-office procedures.
• Administer medications under physician supervision.
• Assist with pre- and post-procedure care and patient transfers.
• Coordinate appointments, follow-ups, and waitlist activity.
• Complete patient check-in and verify demographic and medical information.
• Monitor inventory and ensure clinical areas remain properly stocked.
• Provide a professional and compassionate experience for patients and their families.
• Follow HIPAA, OSHA, and organizational policies and procedures.
• Complete required training and other assigned responsibilities.
