Aurora Medical Group (AMG) is seeking a part-time Medical Scribe to support the Cardiology: Electrophysiology clinic. The role involves real-time documentation, chart preparation, and patient interaction, with travel to affiliated sites as needed.

Clinic hours are Monday–Friday, 8am–4:30pm, with per diem variations. The position requires at least 1 year of relevant experience or medical terminology proficiency, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to work in a fast-paced ambulatory

• Typically 1 year of experience in medical assisting, medical transcription, emergency medical services, patient service and/or as a health care professional with demonstrated proficiency in medical terminology and technical spelling.

Responsabilités

• Pre-Visit: Assemble patient charts, retrieve external records, and gather test results before visits.
• Real-Time Documentation: Transcribe visits into the EHR using precise medical terminology.
• Order Entry: Pend labs, imaging, medications, and referrals with appropriate diagnoses for clinician approval.
• Chart Completion: Update patient histories, enter follow-up instructions, and submit final records for physician sign-off.
• Clinical Assistance: Measure vital signs, room patients, and assist with non-sterile procedures as needed.

Pay Range: $21.85 - $32.80

What You'll Do:

As a Medical Scribe , you'll play a vital role in the care team - supporting providers, connecting with patients, and helping ensure a seamless, compassionate experience every day.

As a key member of the ambulatory care team, you will execute:

• Pre-Visit: Preparation: Assemble patient charts, retrieve external records, and gather test results before visits.
• Real-Time Documentation : Accompany clinicians during exams to transcribe visits into the EHR using precise medical terminology.
• Order Entry: Pend labs, imaging, medications, and referrals with appropriate diagnoses for clinician approval.
• Chart Completion: Update patient histories, enter follow-up instructions, and submit final records for physician sign-off.
• Clinical Assistance : Measure vital signs, room patients, and assist with non-sterile procedures as needed.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Exposed to a normal medical office environment.

Position requires travel; therefore may be exposed to severe weather or road conditions.

Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch with ability to use fine-hand manipulation skills.

May need to occasionally lift/carry up to 20 lbs.

May be exposed to the following hazards: mechanical, electrical, chemical, blood and body fluids; therefore must wear protective clothing and equipment as needed.

Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
