Job summary

Pacific Skin Institute is seeking a motivated team-oriented candidate to support providers in clinical exams and patient care. You will accompany clinicians into the exam room, transcribe histories and exams, and document diagnoses, symptoms, prescriptions, and orders in the EMR system.

Ideal applicants have strong data entry, exceptional bedside manners, and excellent communication skills. Travel to PSI sites (Sacramento, Folsom, Elk Grove, Rocklin, Vacaville) may be required.

Qualifications

• Must accompany and assist provider during consultations and examinations.
• Transcribe history and physical exams and document diagnoses, symptoms and orders.
• Provide accurate information and maintain professionalism with patients.
• Maintain clinic and exam room cleanliness before and after patient use.

Responsibilities

• Call-backs, lab results, patient requests, referrals and scheduling using task lists.
• Back-office duties when not directly assisting providers.
• Travel between PSI sites as needed to support staffing.

Pacific Skin Institute is in search of a motivated candidate with a team-centered attitude! Candidates must have a passion for medicine and healthcare, helping people obtain the services they need and making sure patients feel comfortable when seeing a doctor. We have providers who are excited to employ people who are seeking future careers in medicine whether that be Health Care Administration, Nursing, PA or NP degrees, Medical School, etc.
This role entails accompanying the provider into the patient exam room in order to transcribe a history and physical exam, and accurately document the provider's encounter with the patient including listing all proper diagnoses and symptoms, follow-up instructions, prescriptions, patient orders, and procedures.

• Accompany and Assist Provider Upon Consult and Examination
  
• Use electronic medical records and work off "task lists" to complete callbacks, lab results, patient requests, referrals, and appointment scheduling
  
• Assists with back-office duties when not directly assisting the provider with a patient
  
• Provide patients with accurate information when answering questions and concerns
