Role Description
The purpose of a Medical Scribe at Oak Street Health is to support primary care providers with clinical documentation, enabling them to focus on patient care. Scribes assist throughout the patient care journey, including morning huddles, in-room documentation during visits, and post-visit follow-up.
These team members serve as clinical documentation assistants, known internally as CISs (Clinic Informatics Specialists), supporting accurate and timely documentation, understanding our value-based care model, and assisting with chronic condition management, ICD-10, and CPT coding. They receive extensive training in clinical workflows, preventative care, population health, and team-based care.
Ideal candidates should commit 1-2 years to this role. This position offers practical, paid experience for pre-med students and those pursuing careers in Health Informatics, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Medical Coding, and related fields.

Responsibilities
Anticipated Weekly Hours: 40
Time Type: Full-time
Pay Range: $17.00 - $28.46/hour
This range depends on experience, education, location, and other factors. The role is eligible for bonuses or incentives.
