Position: Day - 08 Hour (United States of America)
Overview

The Cancer Center DSL Medical Scribe will collaborate with physicians, patients, and office staff to facilitate patient flow and ensure accurate and complete medical records.

Responsibilities
  1. Accompany physicians into exam rooms to document all patient visit elements, including symptoms, medications, physical findings, and treatment plans. Assist with documentation of patient care issues.
  2. Coordinate findings with physicians, documenting procedures, tests, and other relevant information accurately.
  3. Navigate complex medical record systems to provide efficient patient care and ensure forms are completed as directed.
  4. Maintain confidentiality and comply with all medical practices and procedures.
  5. Assist in training new scribes and clinical staff.
  6. Perform other duties as assigned, including department-specific functions and participate in organizational projects.
  7. Adhere to safety, HIPAA, P4P’s (if applicable), and compliance policies.
Qualifications
Education
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Experience
  • Proficiency in computer use and ability to learn new programs.
  • 70+ WPM highly recommended.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under stress.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills for outstanding patient care.
Physical and Work Conditions

Blood Borne Pathogens: Category II tasks, no exposure to blood, but may involve unplanned Category I tasks.

Compensation

Starting at $34.11 - $43.48 per hour, with final salary based on experience, education, and other factors. This scale is not a guarantee of wages.
