Cardiology Consultants of Philadelphia is a professional medical organization committed to the healing mission of Medicine. CCP specializes in providing comprehensive cardiology care and currently has over 35 locations throughout the Philadelphia area. We are currently hiring for a full-time Medical Scribe to work one on one with a provider at our Center City, Philadelphia, PA location.

Responsibilities:

1. Accompany provider into patient examination room to accurately and efficiently document the encounter.
2. Exhibit excellence in medical terminology and billing & coding knowledge in all documentation.
3. List all proper admission or discharge diagnoses as well as follow-up care instructions as dictated by provider.
4. Document the time and reasoning for, but not electronically submit, patient orders including lab tests and medications.
5. Document any procedures performed by provider.
6. Successfully navigate Electronic Medical Record (or EMR) system to input documentation.
7. Inform provider when diagnostic studies are completed, prepare for review, and document in EMR.
8. Multi-task efficiently and effectively as required.
9. Concentrate on the needs of the provider throughout entire shift.
10. Understand and observe legal concepts (e.g. HIPAA, confidentiality).
11. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

1. Computer knowledge is a must.
2. Experience with GE Centricity is a plus.
3. Must have knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
4. Candidates with aspirations to become a MD, DO, PA, NP, PT, RN, etc. are encouraged to apply.
5. Must have the ability to stand for long periods of time.
6. Must have the ability to multitask.
