Job summary

SportsCare PT is seeking a Part-Time Medical Scribe to support clinicians in Cedar Knolls and Jefferson, NJ. The role focuses on detailed documentation of patient encounters, and precise data entry into EHR systems, while ensuring HIPAA compliance.

Ideal candidates have healthcare experience, strong typing, excellent listening and communication skills, and the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced setting. Two 10-hour shifts weekly, 7am-7pm.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a healthcare or medical setting is preferred.
• Strong typing skills and proficiency with computer applications, including EHR systems.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to fill the position of Part-Time Scribe. This role involves working two days a week, with each day consisting of a 10-hour shift. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Documentation:

• Accurately transcribe and document information provided by medical professionals, including patient history, physical examinations, procedures, and treatment plans.
• Ensure all documentation is clear, concise, and adheres to established guidelines.
• Work closely with healthcare providers to capture and document relevant information during patient encounters.
• Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to facilitate effective communication and information exchange.

Data Entry:

• Enter medical information into electronic health records (EHR) systems accurately and promptly.
• Verify the completeness and accuracy of entered data to maintain a reliable and up-to-date patient record.

Confidentiality:

• Uphold strict confidentiality and security measures in handling sensitive patient information.
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and other applicable privacy laws.

Communication:

• Communicate effectively with healthcare providers to clarify any unclear or missing information in the documentation.
• Report any concerns or issues related to documentation promptly to the relevant parties.

Time Management:

• Manage time efficiently to meet deadlines and complete documentation in a timely manner.
• Prioritize tasks effectively to ensure the smooth flow of documentation processes.
