Position Responsibilities:

In this position, you will be responsible for efficiently documenting patient exams, physician interpretations, and treatment plans in the electronic medical record (EMR). Key duties include preparing patient templates for efficient note-taking, typing physician notes, and ensuring documentation meets coding requirements. Additional responsibilities include entering patient histories, preparing records for upcoming visits, and assisting the clinical team with tasks such as scanning patient history forms and rooming patients as needed. ORA holds all our staff members accountable for providing high-level care, maintaining patient confidentiality, and complying with all HIPAA rules and regulations. As a medical scribe, you will support the physicians by accurately and efficiently documenting patient visits.

Requirements:

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience as a medical scribe, medical assistant, or medical transcriptionist is preferred. A successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of medical terminology, strong listening and typing skills, and proficiency in personal computer applications and EMR systems. The ability to travel to various ORA clinic locations based on the physician's schedule is required. This is an excellent opportunity for pre-med track individuals seeking 1 - 2 years of practical, paid clinical experience before applying to an MD/DO/PA/NP program.
