Requirements
We are currently recruiting for a full-time Medical Scribe supporting psychiatric prescribers. In this role, you will monitor patients and document psychiatric encounters, seeing first-hand what a provider does on a daily basis. You will observe how providers assess and diagnose their patients, create legal medical documents, and be an integral part of a healthcare team. Responsibilities include monitoring for patient safety, working alongside providers, accurately summarizing and documenting patient exams including chief complaints, diagnoses, treatment plans, orders, and medications into the Electronic Health Records (EHR) system, assisting with exams as needed, reviewing charts to ensure accuracy, helping to maintain efficient patient flow in a fast-paced environment, processing refill requests, prescription prior authorizations, responding to patient inquiries, and other duties as assigned.
We are seeking a professional and energetic candidate with strong interpersonal and communication skills who understands the importance of patient care. The ideal candidate will be computer savvy (EHR experience preferred) and possess a basic understanding of psychiatry principles. A college degree is required with a preference for a pre-med, psychology, or related major. Experience in a medical office, or equivalent education preferred. Prior experience in a healthcare setting is a plus.
