Ellis and Badenhausen, PSC is looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Medical Scribe to support our physicians and mid-level providers by ensuring accurate, real-time documentation of patient encounters and optimizing clinical workflow. Position Title: On-site Medical Scribe
Reports to: Office Manager
This position features:

What You'll Do:
Document patient visits in real-time in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
Transcribe clinical interactions, procedures, and provider instructions
Enter patient demographics, medical history, and billing details accurately
Support providers by preparing charts, assisting with EMR templates, and maximizing workflow efficiency
Assist with prescription communications, referral coordination, and general clinical support
Prepare and clean exam rooms; assist with other front or back office tasks as needed
Ensure all billable events are accurately captured during patient visits
Travel with providers to satellite locations as needed
We’re Looking for Someone Who:
Has strong typing and computer skills
Understands medical terminology
Is reliable, professional, and team-oriented
Communicates clearly and effectively
Can multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
Is comfortable with occasional travel and flexible scheduling
Maintains confidentiality and complies with HIPAA, OSHA, and organizational protocols
Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required
Prior experience in medical office, billing, or surgery scheduling is a plus
CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
Experience with EMRs (Electronic Medical Records)
