Job Description:
Engagement Responsibilities:
- Build relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and local customers, providing scientific insights, and ensuring that KOLs are well-informed about the company's products and pipeline.
- Develop and enhance professional relationships with medical thought leaders to support both approved products and those in various phases of development.
- Identify key thought leaders and establish, foster, cultivate, and maintain relationships with healthcare providers (HCPs) in academic and community centers within the assigned territory.
- Develop and execute territory plans aligned with regional, national, and global Medical Affairs strategies.
- Provide insights and feedback on emerging scientific/clinical data to enhance the value and appropriate use of products, in compliance with internal policies.
- Support conference planning and engagement activities, including synthesis of insights reports within specified timeframes.
- Engage with internal stakeholders (medical, field, marketing, operations) and external stakeholders (clinicians, laboratorians, organizations) to organize scientific events such as symposia, webinars, advisory boards, etc., as outlined in the medical plan.
- Attend local and regional conferences to gather input and engage with regional KOLs, community physicians, and other stakeholders.
- Assist in defining, planning, and executing tactical activities like advisory boards, publication initiatives, evidence generation, and conference reports.
- Collaborate with the IMT team to review, identify, and synthesize customer and disease area trends and related actions based on documented interactions and insights.
- Gather insights to inform internal stakeholders and improve strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with clinical specialists to ensure they have the necessary medical support for customer activities.
- Reflect on and improve the collection and communication of customer insights through active listening and insightful questioning.
Qualifications:
- Advanced scientific or medical degree (PhD, MD, PharmD, MSN, BSN) plus 3-5 years of relevant clinical, practice, or industry experience.
- Significant clinical or industry experience in the relevant therapeutic area may substitute for formal education.
- Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with physicians, nurses, laboratory personnel, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ability to lead, influence, and empower multidisciplinary teams in a matrixed organization.
- Strong communication skills and ethical values.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- This is a home-based/remote position in a specific geographic area.
- Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
- Must reside in or be willing to relocate within the territory.
- Ability to be actively engaged with customers and attend key conferences and meetings as required.
- Strong active listening skills and the ability to process information for opportunity identification.
- Good understanding of the biotechnology/pharma industry and scientific principles.
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of MSL experience in diagnostics or the pharmaceutical industry.
- Basic understanding of Neurology.
- Experience in Alzheimer’s Disease diagnostics is preferred.
