Job Description

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is a field-based scientific expert working as an extension of the US Medical Affairs organization. MSLs develop relationships with medical thought leaders, provide scientific exchange, and support clinical and scientific activities for Jazz Pharmaceuticals, covering Central California, Nevada, Utah, and Hawaii.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare providers in Oncology.
• Develop and execute territory plans aligned with US Medical Affairs strategies.
• Participate in medical education, advisory boards, congress staffing, and sales training.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of therapy areas, products, research trends, and competitive landscape.
• Support the development of Jazz's positioning as a scientific authority in Oncology.
• Attend scientific congresses and support regional and national KOL activities.
• Provide clinical presentations and respond to unsolicited scientific questions.
• Contribute to the US Medical Plan and manage relevant budgets.
• Engage with healthcare providers ethically, adhering to all relevant codes of practice.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (PharmD, MD, PhD) with at least 3 years' experience in solid tumors oncology.
• Or RN, NP, CNP, PA with a Master's Degree and at least 5 years' experience in oncology.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as an MSL or similar role.
• Experience in solid tumors and targeted therapies preferred.
• Willingness to travel approximately 60% of the time.

This is a field position requiring travel, with a competitive salary range of $154,400 to $231,600, plus benefits and potential bonuses.
