Job Description

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is part of a field-based team supporting US Medical Affairs. MSLs build relationships with medical thought leaders, providing scientific exchange and clinical support within Oncology, covering Central California, Nevada, Utah, and Hawaii. The role requires scientific credibility and interaction with healthcare professionals and academic centers.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with KOLs and healthcare providers in Oncology.
• Implement territory plans aligned with Medical Affairs strategies.
• Communicate clinical insights and support medical education through presentations and meetings.
• Maintain high-level knowledge of therapy areas, Jazz products, and industry trends.
• Support medical congresses, advisory boards, and other activities.
• Contribute to US Medical Plan development and execution.
• Engage with healthcare providers ethically, adhering to standards and Jazz values.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (PharmD, MD, PhD) with at least 3 years' experience in oncology.
• Experience as an MSL or similar role for at least 2 years.
• Knowledge of solid tumors and targeted therapies preferred.
• Willingness to travel approximately 60% of the time.
• Valid driver's license and residence near a major airport.

This is a field position involving frequent travel and outside normal hours. The role involves interaction with healthcare professionals, participation in scientific events, and compliance with regulatory standards. Compensation ranges from $154,400 to $231,600, based on experience and qualifications. Benefits include health insurance, 401k, paid time off, and more.
