Medical Science Liaison - Oncology (California)

Position Summary:
The Medical Science Liaison – Oncology serves as a key field-based scientific resource engaging clinicians, academic institutions, and professional organizations to support Natera’s oncology products. The MSL facilitates the exchange of scientific information, builds key relationships, and drives awareness of Natera’s evolving portfolio.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Provide scientific and/or clinical presentations on data that support Natera’s Oncology products across histologies.
2. Serve as a medical and scientific resource for the Natera US/International Sales, Marketing, Business Development and Bio Pharma teams.
3. Establish, maintain, and manage relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), Healthcare Providers, and Customers in multiple histologies as pertains to Natera’s Oncology products and the field of Oncology.
4. Collaborate with lab operations to provide additional healthcare provider information regarding Natera products.
5. Represent Natera at scientific and clinical congress meetings.
6. Engage in continuous learning to maintain scientific and clinical expertise.
7. Provide medical expertise for the creation of materials, communication tools, and publications to ensure medical accuracy.
8. Support and coordinate clinical trial and research initiatives at academic institutions and study sites.
9. Travel extensively (over 60%) as required.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. Advanced healthcare/scientific degree preferred (Ph.D., Pharm.D, M.D., D.N.P.), (Master’s degree required).
2. MSL experience preferred, but not required.
3. Must live within assigned/advertised territory.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

1. This is a remote position and often work requires frequent sitting, standing and walking. Daily use of a computer is required. May stand for extended periods when facilitating meetings or walking long distances. Ability to travel is required.
2. This position requires the ability to use a computer keyboard, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material.
3. Duties may require working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends).
4. Employees must complete training relating to HIPAA/PHI privacy, General Policies and Procedure Compliance training, and security training within the first 30 days of hire.
5. Must maintain current status on Natera training requirements.

Compensation:
The pay range is listed and actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
$150,000 - $175,000 USD
