Job summary

Syneos Health is seeking a Medical Science Liaison in Saint Louis, MO, to provide fair, balanced, objective scientific information and product education to Key Contacts in compliance with policies. You will collaborate with medical and scientific leaders and internal stakeholders to support medical affairs strategies.

The role requires an advanced scientific/medical degree and 2+ years of MSL experience, with preference for PAH or cardiopulmonary expertise, and a strong ability to translate

Qualifications

  • Advanced scientific and medical degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, or equivalent).
  • 2+ years of MSL experience.
  • Experience in PAH, cardiopulmonary, or other specialty therapeutic areas preferred; rapid disease-state expertise.
  • Strong scientific & clinical acumen.
  • Ability to quickly understand and translate complex scientific data into clinical practice and potential research needs.
  • Drive for self-development, collaboration and action-oriented work ethic.

Responsibilities

  • Provide compliant scientific information and product education to Key Contacts.
  • Serve as medical and scientific expert to stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain scientific relationships with stakeholders and understand clinical practice areas of interest.
  • Integrate scientific data into real-life practice to meet customer needs.
  • Participate in customer-centric tactical engagement plans to support Medical Affairs strategies.
  • Maintain knowledge base through continuous learning and literature awareness.
  • Collaborate with field medical and commercial colleagues to share Medical insights.
  • Respond to unsolicited scientific inquiries from Health Care Providers and investigators with data including real-world evidence.

You’ll confer with internal stakeholders and build new collaborative relationships with medical and scientific leaders. You’ll contribute cutting-edge clinical and scientific data to help move healthcare forward and positively impact patients.

You will: The Medical Science Liaison will be responsible for providing fair balanced, objective, scientific information and appropriate product education to Key Contacts in compliance with all policies and regulations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide clear, informative, fair-balanced and compliant scientific responses to medical information requests from Key Contacts.
  • Medical and subject area expert to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Establish, cultivate, and maintain scientific relationships with stakeholders while developing a strong understanding of clinical practice as it relates to areas of interest for our client.
  • Integrate scientific data into real life practice to meet customer/audience needs, adapting interpersonal style to particular situations and people.
  • Participate in the development of a customer-centric tactical engagement plan to support Medical Affair’s strategies.
  • Maintain scientific and clinical knowledge base through continuous learning and awareness of related scientific literature to enable meaningful scientific exchange.
  • Collaborate with field based Medical colleagues, appropriate Commercial colleagues, and the broader organization to provide scientific expertise and share Medical insights in support of internal and external activities.
  • Respond to unsolicited scientific inquiries of Health Care Providers (HCPs)/investigators/health care systems/academic medical centers and treatment team members integrating scientific data including real world evidence in to real life practice to meet customer needs.

Requirements: Along with your ability to remain at the forefront of your field, you must possess:

  • Advanced scientific and medical degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, or equivalent)
  • 2+ years of MSL experience
  • Experience in PAH, cardiopulmonary, or other specialty therapeutic areas preferred, with a demonstrated ability to quickly develop disease-state, clinical, and scientific expertise in new therapeutic areas.
  • Strong scientific & clinical acumen
  • Ability to quickly understand and translate complex scientific data and realize the potential impact of that data on clinical practice and potential research needs
  • The drive for self-development, the ability to collaborate, and an action-oriented work ethic
