Job summary

Syneos Health in Boston, MA is seeking an experienced Medical Science Liaison to provide fair, balanced scientific information and product education to Key Contacts in compliance with all policies. You will build collaborations with medical and scientific leaders and translate complex data into real-world practice to support patient care.

Qualifications

• Advanced scientific and medical degree required.
• 2+ years of MSL experience.
• Experience in PAH, cardiopulmonary, or related specialties preferred.
• Ability to translate complex data to clinicians.
• Strong scientific and clinical acumen.
• Collaborative, self-driven and action-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear, informative, fair-balanced and compliant scientific responses to medical information requests from Key Contacts.
• Serve as a medical and subject area expert to internal and external stakeholders.
• Establish, cultivate, and maintain scientific relationships with stakeholders while developing a strong understanding of clinical practice related to our client's areas of interest.
• Integrate scientific data into real-life practice to meet customer needs, adapting interaction style as needed.
• Participate in developing a customer-centric tactical engagement plan supporting Medical Affairs strategies.
• Maintain scientific knowledge base through continuous learning and awareness of related literature.
• Collaborate with field-based Medical colleagues, Commercial colleagues, and broader organization to share insights and support internal/external activities.
• Respond to unsolicited scientific inquiries from HCPs/investigators/healthcare systems with clinical data and real-world evidence.

You will: The Medical Science Liaison will be responsible for providing fair balanced, objective, scientific information and appropriate product education to Key Contacts in compliance with all policies and regulations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide clear, informative, fair-balanced and compliant scientific responses to medical information requests from Key Contacts.
• Medical and subject area expert to internal and external stakeholders.
• Establish, cultivate, and maintain scientific relationships with stakeholders while developing a strong understanding of clinical practice as it relates to areas of interest for our client.
• Integrate scientific data into real life practice to meet customer/audience needs, adapting interpersonal style to particular situations and people.
• Participate in the development of a customer-centric tactical engagement plan to support Medical Affair’s strategies.
• Maintain scientific and clinical knowledge base through continuous learning and awareness of related scientific literature to enable meaningful scientific exchange.
• Collaborate with field based Medical colleagues, appropriate Commercial colleagues, and the broader organization to provide scientific expertise and share Medical insights in support of internal and external activities.
• Respond to unsolicited scientific inquiries of Health Care Providers (HCPs)/investigators/health care systems/academic medical centers and treatment team members integrating scientific data including real world evidence in to real life practice to meet customer needs.

Requirements:

Along with your ability to remain at the forefront of your field, you must possess:

• Advanced scientific and medical degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, or equivalent)
• 2+ years of MSL experience
• Experience in PAH, cardiopulmonary, or other specialty therapeutic areas preferred, with a demonstrated ability to quickly develop disease-state, clinical, and scientific expertise in new therapeutic areas.
• Strong scientific & clinical acumen
• Ability to quickly understand and translate complex scientific data and realize the potential impact of that data on clinical practice and potential research needs
• The drive for self-development, the ability to collaborate, and an action-oriented work ethic

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $180,000-$192,500. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include a company car or car allowance and eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance
