Qualifications

• Terminal degree preferred (MD, PhD, PharmD, DNP) or equivalent with strong clinical experience.
• Experience in Field Medical, Medical Affairs, or Clinical R&D.
• Strong knowledge of Dermatology or Immunology and clinical research.
• Willingness to travel ~70% and reside within 45 minutes of a major US airport.
• Understanding of pharmaceutical environment and applicable laws and regulations.
• Ability to develop and execute a territory clinical plan and work independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong presentation skills and adaptability.
• Broad Medical Affairs perspective to support strategy.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a field-based scientific and clinical resource, extending Medical Affairs.
• Plan, engage, and build relationships with academic and community KOLs and investigators.
• Develop understanding of territory health systems, treatment pathways, and research interests.
• Provide educational and technical information, including responding to inquiries.
• Ensure compliant education on disease states and emerging data.
• Support advisory boards and document insights for internal teams.
• Facilitate unsolicited research requests and identify investigators for LEO-sponsored research.
• Attend national/local congresses to gather insights and competitive intelligence.
• Deliver cross-functional training on scientific topics as requested, including speaker bureau.

Role Description

Your Role:

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) serves as a medical and scientific expert in Dermatology, engaging in high‑quality scientific exchange with healthcare decision‑makers to share evidence‑based data, advance the scientific platform, and collect insights in alignment with LEO’s strategic goals and objectives. The MSL is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, institutions, and other stakeholders within the scientific community by providing appropriate, high‑level scientific support across research initiatives, publications, education, consulting engagements, and other Medical Affairs and R&D activities.

This is a field‑based role, covering Mountain West (Denver, SLC)

Your Responsibilities:

• Serve as a field‑based scientific and clinical resource, functioning as a customer‑facing extension of LEO Pharma North America Medical Affairs.
• Plan, engage, and build strong working relationships with academic and community‑based KOLs and investigators to support scientific exchange and scientific objectives.
• Develop a solid understanding of territory‑specific healthcare systems, clinical practices, patient care pathways, disease management, treatment protocols, and research interests.
• Provide educational and technical information, including responding to unsolicited medical and drug information inquiries.
• Ensure stakeholders receive accurate and compliant education on disease states, emerging scientific data, population health trends, and patient care challenges.
• Provide medical support at advisory boards and document field‑generated scientific insights, sharing them with the appropriate internal teams.
• Support unsolicited research requests, facilitate communication between investigators and internal stakeholders, and identify potential investigators for LEO‑sponsored research.
• Attend relevant national and local medical congresses to gather insights, strengthen relationships, and maintain competitive intelligence.
• Deliver cross‑functional training on scientific and medical topics as requested, including speaker bureau or sales training support.
• Maintain clinical, scientific, and technical expertise in the therapeutic area.
• Assist in identifying and developing scientific materials needed to support effective scientific exchange.
• Collaborate with Medical Affairs colleagues to provide scientific support and communicate scientific insights across the organization.
• Work closely and compliantly with cross‑functional field‑based and Commercial personnel to understand evolving customer needs and provide appropriate scientific support.

Your Qualifications:

• Terminal degree preferred (MD, PhD, PharmD, DNP); other degree considered with strong relevant clinical experience (e.g., PA-C, or equivalent).
• Prior experience in Field Medical, Medical Affairs, or Clinical R&D.
• Strong knowledge of Dermatology or Immunology and clinical research, clinical practice experience preferred.
• Willingness and ability to travel approximately ~70% of the time, and must reside within 45 minutes of a major U.S. airport.
• Understanding of the current pharmaceutical environment and applicable laws and regulations.
• Ability to develop and execute a territory clinical plan, with strong ability to work both independently and in cross-functional teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to build productive professional relationships.
• Strong presentation skills and highly adaptive, agile, and able to navigate evolving conditions.

In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
