Job summary

Syneos Health, Inc. in Charlotte, NC seeks an experienced Medical Science Liaison to provide fair and balanced scientific information to Key Contacts and support product education in compliance with policies and regulations.

The MSL will build relationships with medical and scientific leaders, deliver scientific data, and collaborate with field medical and commercial teams to advance patient care and real-world evidence usage.

Qualifications

• Advanced scientific and medical degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, or equivalent).
• 2+ years of MSL experience.
• Experience in PAH, cardiopulmonary, or other specialty areas preferred, with quick disease-state, clinical and scientific expertise.
• Strong scientific & clinical acumen.
• Ability to translate complex scientific data for clinical practice and research needs.
• Drive for self-development, collaboration, and action-oriented work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Provide compliant scientific responses to medical information requests from Key Contacts.
• Serve as medical science liaison and subject matter expert to internal and external stakeholders.
• Establish, cultivate, and maintain scientific relationships with stakeholders while understanding clinical practice areas of interest for our client.
• Integrate scientific data into real-life practice to meet customer needs.
• Participate in development of customer-centric tactical engagement plans to support Medical Affairs strategies.
• Maintain knowledge base through continuous learning and literature awareness.
• Collaborate with field-based Medical colleagues and Commercial colleagues to share scientific insights.
• Respond to unsolicited scientific inquiries from HCPs/investigators/healthcare systems, integrating real-world evidence into practice.

You’ll confer with internal stakeholders and build new collaborative relationships with medical and scientific leaders. You’ll contribute cutting-edge clinical and scientific data to help move healthcare forward and positively impact patients.

You will: The Medical Science Liaison will be responsible for providing fair balanced, objective, scientific information and appropriate product education to Key Contacts in compliance with all policies and regulations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide clear, informative, fair-balanced and compliant scientific responses to medical information requests from Key Contacts.
• Medical and subject area expert to internal and external stakeholders.
• Establish, cultivate, and maintain scientific relationships with stakeholders while developing a strong understanding of clinical practice as it relates to areas of interest for our client.
• Integrate scientific data into real life practice to meet customer/audience needs, adapting interpersonal style to particular situations and people.
• Participate in the development of a customer-centric tactical engagement plan to support Medical Affair’s strategies.
• Maintain scientific and clinical knowledge base through continuous learning and awareness of related scientific literature to enable meaningful scientific exchange.
• Collaborate with field based Medical colleagues, appropriate Commercial colleagues, and the broader organization to provide scientific expertise and share Medical insights in support of internal and external activities.
• Respond to unsolicited scientific inquiries of Health Care Providers (HCPs)/investigators/health care systems/academic medical centers and treatment team members integrating scientific data including real world evidence in to real life practice to meet customer needs.

Requirements:

• Advanced scientific and medical degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, or equivalent)
• 2+ years of MSL experience
• Experience in PAH, cardiopulmonary, or other specialty therapeutic areas preferred, with a demonstrated ability to quickly develop disease-state, clinical, and scientific expertise in new therapeutic areas.
• Strong scientific & clinical acumen
• Ability to quickly understand and translate complex scientific data and realize the potential impact of that data on clinical practice and potential research needs
• The drive for self-development, the ability to collaborate, and an action-oriented work ethic
