Job summary

Syneos Health is seeking an experienced Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to convey fair-balanced scientific information and provide product education to Key Contacts. You will work with internal teams and external medical leaders to advance patient care and scientific exchange in a compliant, ethical manner.

The MSL will translate complex clinical data into practical insights for clinical practice, collaborate across Medical Affairs and Commercial teams, and stay current with literature to respond

Qualifications

  • Advanced scientific and medical degree required.
  • 2+ years of MSL experience.
  • Experience in PAH, cardiopulmonary, or other specialty areas preferred, with ability to quickly develop disease-state and clinical expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Provide compliant scientific responses to medical information requests from Key Contacts.
  • Serve as medical and subject area expert to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain scientific relationships with stakeholders relevant to client interests.
  • Integrate scientific data into real-life practice to support customer needs.
  • Contribute to customer-centric tactical engagement planning for Medical Affairs strategies.
  • Maintain up-to-date scientific knowledge and literature awareness for meaningful exchanges.
  • Collaborate with field Medical colleagues, Commercial colleagues, and broader organization to share insights.
  • Respond to unsolicited scientific inquiries from HCPs/investigators/health systems with data including real-world evidence.

Description

You’ll confer with internal stakeholders and build new collaborative relationships with medical and scientific leaders. You’ll contribute cutting-edge clinical and scientific data to help move healthcare forward and positively impact patients.

You will: The Medical Science Liaison will be responsible for providing fair balanced, objective, scientific information and appropriate product education to Key Contacts in compliance with all policies and regulations.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide clear, informative, fair-balanced and compliant scientific responses to medical information requests from Key Contacts.
  • Medical and subject area expert to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Establish, cultivate, and maintain scientific relationships with stakeholders while developing a strong understanding of clinical practice as it relates to areas of interest for our client.
  • Integrate scientific data into real life practice to meet customer/audience needs, adapting interpersonal style to particular situations and people.
  • Participate in the development of a customer‑centric tactical engagement plan to support Medical Affair's strategies.
  • Maintain scientific and clinical knowledge base through continuous learning and awareness of related scientific literature to enable meaningful scientific exchange.
  • Collaborate with field based Medical colleagues, appropriate Commercial colleagues, and the broader organization to provide scientific expertise and share Medical insights in support of internal and external activities.
  • Respond to unsolicited scientific inquiries of Health Care Providers (HCPs)/investigators/health care systems/academic medical centers and treatment team members integrating scientific data including real world evidence in to real life practice to meet customer needs.
Requirements
  • Advanced scientific and medical degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, or equivalent)
  • 2+ years of MSL experience
  • Experience in PAH, cardiopulmonary, or other specialty therapeutic areas preferred, with a demonstrated ability to quickly develop disease-state, clinical, and scientific expertise in new therapeutic areas.
  • Strong scientific & clinical acumen
  • Ability to quickly understand and translate complex scientific data and realize the potential impact of that data on clinical practice and potential research needs
  • The drive for self-development, the ability to collaborate, and an action-oriented work ethic
