Edgewood Surgical Hospital is seeking a Medical Records Coordinator to compile, verify, and file patient records, and to coordinate with physicians and staff for proper test preparation and pre-certifications.

The role involves handling confidential PHI, processing release of information requests, and maintaining electronic health records while ensuring accuracy and compliance with HIPAA and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Good oral and written communication with hospital contacts.
• Physical ability for a mixed sit/stand routine with light lifting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and health care accreditation standards.
• Strong planning and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate clearly, orally and in writing.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently.
