This entry-level position involves processing all releases of information (ROI), especially medical record requests, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and high-quality customer service. The role requires safeguarding patient privacy and ensuring compliance with HIPAA, company policies, and relevant regulations.

You will:

• Process patient health information requests according to company and facility policies.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of privileged information.
• Utilize company and facility software effectively.
• Follow the company's and facility's code of conduct and policies.
• Report work, site issues, and volume fluctuations to your manager.
• Assist with additional duties as needed.
• Apply medical privacy regulations consistently to prevent unauthorized disclosures.
• Manage and safeguard patient health records, ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Prepare new patient charts, gather documents, and ensure records are complete and accurate.
• Create digital images of paperwork for electronic medical records.
• Respond to and transmit patient record requests within and outside the facility.
• Handle inbound and outbound calls, assist with walk-ins, and perform administrative tasks like faxing, mailing, and data entry.
• Meet productivity expectations at your site.
• Schedule patient record pickups as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What you will bring:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to commute between locations.
• Willingness to work overtime during peak seasons.
• Basic computer skills.
• Comfort with phones, fax machines, printers, and office equipment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong data entry skills.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
• Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
