Qualifications

• Experience with EMR systems, particularly Athena, preferred.
• Strong clerical skills and understanding of medical terminology necessary.

Responsibilities

• Send and receive medical records within Hematology and Oncology department.
• Manage 20-40 requests for medical records daily.
• Collaborate with Patient Navigator to streamline processes.

To ensure that the medical record is thorough and complete; and to ensure that all documents are obtained , filed, and maintained in the medical record according to Agency, department and regulatory standards

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- HS Diploma or equivalent

- 2+ years experience in medical records/health information management

- EMR experience (preferably in Athena)

- Medical terminology

- Clerical skills/ computer knowledge

- Ability to analyze data

- Ability to work cooperatively with members of the healthcare delivery team

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

- Send and receive medical records for the Hematology and Oncology department

- Will receive up to 20-40 medical request per day

- Work hand and hand with Patient Navigator
