Responsibilities

  • Complete all incoming ROI requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Provide customer support through phone communication.
  • Validates requests and authorizes release of PHI according to procedures.
  • Perform quality checks on work for accuracy, confidentiality, and invoicing.
  • Maintain confidentiality, security, and ethics with PHI during transport, storage, and disposal.
  • Complete legal affidavits and respond to inquiries as needed.
  • Scan ROI requests into chart.
  • Follow ROI policies of HealthMark and clients.
  • Maintain a neat, professional appearance and observe client dress code.
  • Keep work area orderly and ensure files are stored properly; maintain supplies.
  • Update facility guide as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service; be attentive and respectful.
  • Identify and de-escalate PT complaints; communicate effectively with customers.
  • Aim for maximum customer satisfaction.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

HealthMark’s Medical Records processing team is seeking a candidate with the ability to prioritize well, communicate clearly, manage time well, and organize documentation comprehensively. The candidate will be punctual, focused, and have a team-oriented attitude. HealthMark Group will provide the necessary training for the selected candidate. All personal identification must be current for this purpose and background checks passed.

POSITION: Onsite Medical Records Processing Specialist

Location: Salem Oregon

Entry level job duties include but not limited to:
  • Complete all incoming ROI requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Provide customer support through phone communication.
  • Validates requests and authorizes for release of PHI according to established procedures.
  • Performs quality checks on all work to ensure the accuracy of the release, confidentiality, and proper invoicing.
  • Maintains confidentiality, security, and standards of ethics with the employer and medical records information during transport, storage, and disposal.
  • Complete legal affidavits and questions as needed.
  • Regularly scan ROI request into chart.
  • Abides by the ROI policy specific to both HealthMark and the client.
  • This position must maintain a neat, clean, and professional personal appearance and observe the dress code established by the client.
  • This position must maintain a clean and orderly work area. Ensure that records and files are properly stored before leaving the area and ensure adequate supplies to meet needs.
  • Maintain and update facility guide as needed.
  • Provides excellent customer service by being attentive and respectful.
  • Follows-through as promised.
  • Proactive in identifying PT complaints with the ability to de-escalate as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with customers.
  • Achieve maximum customer satisfaction.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Basic use of Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, and Microsoft Teams.

  • 1-2 years of work experience within a team environment
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Excellent communication, time management and organization skills
  • Proactive work habits
  • Prior experience with records requests
