Axiom Healthcare Services in Derby, KS is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to maintain accurate resident medical records, support admissions, and ensure HIPAA compliance.

You will audit records, prepare admission materials, coordinate with physicians, and ensure timely documentation while participating in an on-call rotation in an in-person setting.

Competenze

• Current Kansas LPN license
• Long-term care or medical records experience preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Basic computer skills and ability to maintain confidentiality

Mansioni

• Maintain and audit resident medical records, including admissions, discharges, orders, MARs, TARs, labs, and required documentation.
• Prepare admission face sheets, maintain the resident register, and assign medical record numbers.
• Prepare lab requisitions, obtain results, and communicate results to the appropriate nurse.
• Ensure physician orders, telephone orders, signatures, and other required documentation are completed and filed timely.
• Process authorized medical record requests and coordinate with the Executive Director/DON as required.
• Review discharged records for completeness and close/file records appropriately.
• Thin and audit medical records at least every 90 days.
• Communicate with physicians, residents, families, staff, and outside providers to coordinate care and appointments.
• Provide information for Quality Assurance activities and meetings.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA, residents’ rights, infection control, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Answer phones, assist with filing, and provide general office support.
• Participate in an on-call rotation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Details

Location: Derby Health and Rehab - Derby, KS 67037. Position Type: Full Time.

Pay: $27-$29
