Job summary

Westgate, a proud affiliate of National Health Care Associates, is seeking a Medical Records Clerk to maintain accurate and organized medical records for our residents. You will document, store, and update records in compliance with regulatory standards, and collaborate with nursing staff and vendors to ensure timely charting and supply ordering.

This role supports high-quality care in a compassionate team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred.
• Experience in medical records management in healthcare/long-term care.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and coding (ICD-10, CPT).
• Experience ordering supplies and creating purchase orders.

Responsibilities

• Verify accuracy and completeness of residents' medical records.
• Compile, organize, and maintain electronic and paper records.
• Keep Central Supply stocked and units stocked.
• Order supplies and prepare purchase orders.
• Serve as liaison between Nursing Department and vendors.
• Audit charting timeliness and notify responsible staff.
