Description

High-Risk OB office is currently searching for a full-time, experienced Medical Records Clerk to join our team.

You will be responsible for a variety of tasks including, but not limited to:

  • Answering phones
  • Collecting patient information
  • Filing patient information into appropriate chart
  • Collecting data
  • Filing of medical charts
  • Requesting medical records from referring offices
  • Completion of medical record requests which includes copying and/or faxing
  • Creating new patient charts and pulling charts for upcoming appointments
  • Scheduling appointments

Medical Records Clerk Responsibilities

  • Filing of all patient information into appropriate medical record such as demographics, labs, reports, hospital records and notes from outside facilities.
  • Preparation of new patient charts.
  • Pulling of charts for upcoming appointments.
  • Maintain quality and accurate records.
  • Make sure all medical records are protected and kept confidential in compliance with HIPAA.
  • Completion of medical records request within 48 hours.
  • Purging old medical records.
  • Completes clerical duties including answering phones, calling referring providers for records and responding to emails.
