Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in medical records, central supply, or similar healthcare role preferred.
• Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred.
• Experience ordering and managing medical supplies preferred.
• Working knowledge of medical records and healthcare documentation standards.
• Computer proficiency; EMR systems preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize responsibilities and work independently while contributing to a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Dependable in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete, accurate, confidential resident medical records per regulations.
• Review, organize, and update resident documentation to stay current and compliant.
• Assist with scheduling resident appointments and coordinating related documentation.
• Support nursing by providing timely access to medical records and required information.
• Fill requisitions for routine medical supplies and equipment.
• Stock nursing units and nutrition rooms with medical supplies.
• Monitor inventory and document receipt and distribution of supplies and equipment.
• Organize storage areas and maintain accurate locations of supplies and equipment.
• Ensure proper storage to prevent damage or deterioration.
• Answer phones and assist with general administrative needs.
• Pass out ice water to residents, make beds, and respond to call lights as needed.
• Report accidents and incidents promptly.
• Report changes in resident condition to Charge Nurse or Unit Manager.
• Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to promote smooth daily operations at Complete Care at Ocean Grove.
• Complete additional assignments as directed by Unit Manager, Director of Nursing, or Administrator.
