Conviva is a subsidiary of Humana, seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and cheerful Medical Receptionist who is interested in growing with the company and being part of something great!

Job Functions

1. Outreach to potential new patients and collecting patient charges.
2. Ensure quality customer service and resolve patient issues.
3. Coordinate care documents on behalf of patients.
4. Maintain the reception area, schedule appointments, and verify insurances.
5. Answer incoming calls and distribute messages accurately.
6. Greet visitors and determine their purpose of visit.
7. Respond to routine inquiries from internal and external sources.

Required Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience as a medical receptionist in a patient-facing healthcare setting.
• Excellent customer service and phone etiquette skills.
• Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).
• Ability to work at the Conviva Care clinic located at: 455 Thousand Oaks Drive, San Antonio, TX 78233.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two years of related experience preferred.
• Associate degree.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records, preferably eClinicalWorks.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Work Schedule

Full Time / 40 Hours / Monday to Friday / 8 am - 5 pm

Additional Information

This role is patient-facing and part of Humana's TB screening program. Selected candidates will be required to undergo TB screening.
