Job summary

RadNet is seeking a Patient Service Representative to join our team and deliver high-quality patient care. You will greet patients, verify insurance, collect payments, schedule appointments, and guide patients through prep and safety protocols in a clinical radiology setting.

The role emphasizes professional communication, teamwork, and respectful interactions with patients, families, and staff. On-site work with opportunities to contribute to efficient patient flow and accurate record-keeping.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
  • Proficient computer skills and good typing speed.
  • Strong multitasking and communication abilities are essential.
  • Experience delivering exceptional customer service is preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and radiology office workflows is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and register patients in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
  • Verify insurance and patient information, collect signatures, ensure documentation accuracy.
  • Collect and log all co-pays and fees.
  • Answer and transfer incoming calls.
  • Schedule, reschedule or cancel patient appointments and notify staff of changes.
  • Provide patient orientations for prep and safety protocols and directions to facilities.
  • Coordinate with back-office staff for timely patient care.
  • Safeguard patient property and health information as required.
  • Safeguard medications on site according to policies and law.
  • Handle patient financial information with care and confidentiality.
  • Maintain professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
  • Respect patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities in all interactions.
  • Interact diplomatically with patients, families, and the public in a clinical setting.
  • Foster cooperative working relationships across teams.

When you join usas a Patient Service Representative , you will be joining a dedicated team of professionals who deliver quality, value, and access in the 21 st century and align all stakeholders- patients, providers, payors, and regulators to achieve the best clinical outcomes.

You Will
  • Greet and register patients in a friendly and service-oriented manner.
  • Obtain or verify proper insurance and patient information, collect signatures and ensure accuracy and completion of necessary documentation.
  • Collect and log all co-pays and fees
  • Answer/transfer incoming phone calls.
  • Schedule, reschedule or cancel new or current patients, confirm appointments and notify staff of changes when necessary.
  • Give patients appropriate orientation for preparatory and safety protocols, and provide directions to facilities if needed.
  • Coordinate with the back-office staff for timely and effective care of patients
  • Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
  • Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
  • Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
  • Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
  • Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
  • Demonstrates ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.
  • Demonstrates ability to establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills
  • Strong multitasking and communication skills
  • Experience providing exceptional customer service
  • Medical terminology knowledge and recent medical/radiology office experience is preferred.
