Qualifications

• Medical terminology knowledge and strong customer service skills required.

Responsibilities

• Answers phone and schedules patient appointments in line with physician availability.
• Greets patients in a professional manner.
• Obtains completed registration forms for new patients and updates demographics.
• Collects payments for services and past due balances.
• Processes requests for patient records and information as needed.
• Reschedules appointments and manages communications with staff.
• Manages phone service and on-call physician communications.
• Reviews patient insurance and authorization requirements.
• Distributes patient information per policy and assists with chart management.
• Substitutes for other office personnel when needed.
• Adheres to Compliance Plan and participates in assigned duties.
