Job description

Job Title: Bilingual Medical Receptionist

The Bilingual Medical Receptionist plays a vital role in the healthcare team by providing a friendly and professional front to patients. This position involves:

  1. Managing patient appointments, including scheduling, cancellations, and rescheduling, using specialized practice management software.
  2. Ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process, maintaining accurate records and patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  3. Handling a multi-line phone system, directing calls, taking messages, and managing administrative tasks such as filing and correspondence in both English and French.
  4. Assisting with billing, verifying insurance details, and processing co-payments.
  5. Providing translation services for French-speaking patients to facilitate effective communication with healthcare providers.

Qualifications include:

  1. Proficiency in English and French.
  2. At least 2 years of experience as a Medical Receptionist or in an administrative role within a medical setting.
  3. Strong organizational skills, compassion, and a commitment to healthcare excellence.
