Job summary

United Health Services (UHS) is seeking a medical receptionist for the UHS Nephrology Apalachin practice. The role centers on greeting patients and ensuring a seamless experience, while adhering to all registration, scheduling, insurance verification and billing policies.

The position operates on a day shift with a 40-hour work week, requiring strong communication and customer service skills, plus preferred medical terminology knowledge and PC proficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: previous medical, administrative and customer service experience.
• Preferred: proficient PC skills and knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients with courtesy and respect as the customer service liaison to practices.
• Follow UHS policies regarding registration, scheduling, insurance verification and billing.
• Provide patients with a seamless experience across the nephrology practice.

# Position Overview
A medical receptionist is the customer service liaison to each of our practices. The medical receptionist greets each patient with courtesy and respect using exceptional communication skills. The purpose of this position is to provide our patients with a seamless experience while following all UHS Policies regarding registration, scheduling, insurance verification and billing.

$17.05 - $22.17 per hour, depending on experience
