Monmouth Retina Consultants is seeking a Medical Receptionist (Patient Coordinator) in Toms River, NJ. This full-time role greets patients, verifies insurances, answers inquiries, and supports smooth check-in/out processes.
The position requires a high school diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and a willingness to learn. Travel to other NJ offices is required; mileage is reimbursed. Office hours are Monday–Friday, with occasional schedule adjustments to meet patient needs.

A Patient Coordinator is trained to act as the first point of contact for our patients where they set the tone for the patient’s visit through excellent patient care. This employee will also perform the necessary administrative responsibilities needed to create a smooth check-in/out experience for patients.
This role requires a variety ofphysicalactivities to effectively perform essential job functions. The position involves frequent walking (75%), sitting (50%), and standing (50%), with regular bending, stooping, and reaching (25–50%). Employees must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull items up to 25 lbs. Strong fine motor skills and full use of hands are essential, as the role demands constant grasping, writing/typing, and use of technology. Visual and auditory acuity—including color, depth, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus is required100% of the time. Occasional driving or climbing may also be necessary.
