Spero Health, Inc. is seeking a Medical Receptionist in Moraine, OH. You will support patient intake, scheduling, insurance verification, and front-desk operations in an integrated behavioral health setting.

You will engage in family-centered care, handle payments, and coordinate with clinicians. We value empathy, accuracy, and strong communication in a fast-paced environment.

Formación

• High School Diploma required; Associate degree preferred.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program preferred.
• 1-3 years experience in Customer Services, Behavioral Health, and/or Healthcare facilities preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year in a fast-paced medical office environment required.

Responsabilidades

• Provide top-tier customer service, compassion, and empathy to all patients.
• Efficiently handle patient arrivals, updating demographic and insurance details.
• Schedule providers and adjust appointments to meet patient needs.
• Contact patients with missed appointments to encourage continued treatment.
• Manage prior authorizations and communicate patient financial responsibilities.
• Distribute and verify forms; scan and file documents into the EMR.
• Process collections, co-pays, and facilitate payment plans.

Spero Health is seeking a Medical Receptionist to join our awesome team in Moraine!

This position is for a Medical Receptionist who supports the mission of “Saving Lives, Instilling Hope and Restoring Relationships” in an integrated team with patients receiving counseling, case management and medically assisted treatment. The Medical Receptionist responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Provide top-tier customer service, compassion, and empathy to all patients.
• Efficiently handle patient arrivals, confirming and updating demographic and insurance details at each visit.
• Manage scheduling for providers, ensuring accuracy and timely adjustments to meet patient needs.
• Contact patients who have missed appointments to encourage continued treatment.
• Manage prior authorizations and communicate patient financial responsibilities clearly.
• Distribute and verify accuracy of required patient forms and handbooks; scan and file documents into the EMR.
• Process collections, co-payments and facilitate payment plans regularly.
• Ability to discuss and clarify patient financial responsibilities and insurance status effectively.
• Maintain a professional office environment, including general upkeep and organization.
• Delivering excellent phone etiquette for inbound and outbound calls, including appointment reminders, and re-engagement efforts.
• Handle tasks related to medication destruction and logging.
• Engage in daily huddles and team meetings to ensure cohesive operations.
• Participate in cross-training for lab-related responsibilities as appropriate, such as urine drug screenings.

Requirements

Education:

• High School Diploma required; Associate degree preferred
• Graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assisting preferred

Experience:

• 1-3 years experience with Customer Services, Behavioral Health, and/or Healthcare facilities preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year in a fast-paced medical office environment required.
