MJH Life Sciences is seeking a detail-oriented Copyeditor to polish clinical and CME/CE manuscripts across formats, leveraging AI to enhance accuracy and throughput.

You will ensure language clarity, grammar, and style while maintaining compliance with CME, Medical, and Legal guidelines. The role requires strong collaboration across editorial and marketing teams and a commitment to meeting tight production schedules.

Qualifications

• 3+ years editing and fact-checking, preferably medical/scientific publishing.
• Active use of AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini) in editing workflow.
• Strong command of AMA Manual of Style 11th Edition and AP Stylebook.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint with track changes; Adobe Acrobat Pro preferred.
• Familiarity with InCopy, CMS, and web publishing tools.
• Knowledge of design principles, typography, layout, and printing norms.
• Proven ability to meet hard deadlines in a production environment.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and knowledge-sharing within a team.
• Advanced science degree or professional certifications preferred; Bachelor's degree required.

Responsibilities

• Copyedit electronic and print projects for clinical, peer-reviewed publications and CME/CE manuscripts.
• Integrate AI tools into editing workflow to improve consistency and efficiency.
• Proofread and correct files ensuring error-free publications.
• Identify and improve unclear language while respecting guidelines.
• Apply proofing and design changes using Adobe Acrobat Pro and InCopy.
• Ensure compliance with branding, legal, and promotional guidelines.
• Maintain deadlines across multiple editorial projects.
• Collaborate with editorial, events, marketing, and promotions teams.
