Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Certified Medical Physicist to design, optimize, and uphold high standards in radiation treatment planning and quality assurance. You will collaborate with physicians, dosimetrists, therapists, and leaders to advance patient safety and treatment effectiveness.

Under supervision of the Chief Physicist, you will lead calibration, QA programs, regulatory compliance, and the adoption of new technologies, ensuring accurate dose delivery and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Health or Medical Physics from an accredited institution.
• Certification by ABR/ABMP or Canadian College of Medical Physics.
• Licensure in the state of practice as required.
• Colorado sites require RMP/QI/QE(t).

Responsibilities

• Design, calibrate, and oversee calibration and QA for radiation therapy equipment per AAPM standards.
• Lead treatment planning, beam shaping, and collaboration with physicians and staff.
• Coordinate with RSO for brachytherapy licenses and regulatory compliance.
• Promote quality improvement and adoption of new technologies within the department.
• Support staff training and development and write policies with other leaders.
