Job summary

Intermountain Healthcare Inc. is seeking a Certified Medical Physicist to lead design, optimization, and delivery of advanced radiation treatment plans with a focus on accuracy, safety, and quality.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Health or Medical Physics from an accredited institution.
• American Board of Radiology or American Board of Medical Physics in Radiation Oncology Physics.
• Knowledge of operating systems, software installation, file management and computer hardware.
• Administration and clinical development of Oncology Information Systems (Varian ARIA).
• General programming experience (SQL, Python, scripting, C/C++/C#).
• DICOM CT/MR/PET image handling and DICOM RT data transfer.
• Eligible to be RAM licensed for HDR and as a registered medical physicist in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Design, optimize, and deliver advanced radiation treatment plans with high accuracy.
• Lead treatment planning, QA, and radiation safety initiatives.
• Coordinate with the Radiation Safety Officer for regulatory compliance and brachytherapy.
• Oversee calibration and quality control of radiation therapy equipment.
• Collaborate with physicians, dosimetrists, and therapists to implement new technologies.
• Maintain comprehensive quality management and quality assurance programs.
• Schedule rotations between facilities and participate in department projects.
