Baptist Health Boca Raton Regional Hospital is seeking a Senior Medical Physicist to design, optimize, and evaluate radiation plans, ensuring precise and safe delivery in the radiation oncology department. You will oversee safety for patients and staff and support calibration, dosimetry, treatment planning, and quality assurance.

  • Master’s degree in medical physics or related field

  • Current certification: CCPM (Canada), ABMP, or ABR

Description

Under the direction of the Director of Medical Physics, the Senior Medical Physicist will design, optimize, and evaluate radiation plans, ensuring precise and accurate delivery. Responsibilities include safety oversight for patients and staff, compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and the professional Code of Ethics, and provision of ongoing physics support to the radiation oncology department. The role covers instrumentation, equipment calibration, treatment planning, dosimetry, radiation protection, and quality assurance. Salary range: $193,964.45 – $252,153.79 per year, commensurate with experience.

Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in medical physics or related field
  • Current certification: CCPM (Canada), ABMP, or ABR
  • Therapeutic Radiological Physicist license
  • Board eligibility and completion of certification within 3 years for non‑certified candidates
  • State of Florida license for medical physics (TRP or MPT) and maintenance of board certification per American College of Radiology requirements
Additional Qualifications
  • Masters, DMP, or PhD in medical physics from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical radiation physics
  • Maintain certification and continuing education requirements outlined by the American College of Radiology and the relevant board
  • Obtain and maintain board certification and a valid State of Florida license for medical physics as required

Minimum required experience: 3 years.
