Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital seeks a Medical Physics professional to provide physics services for planning and delivering therapeutic radiation treatments in accordance with physician prescriptions.

The role offers technical leadership, including clinical set-up guidance to radiation oncologists, dosimetrists and therapists, and ensures QA across department equipment in compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Medical Physics or related discipline is required.
• Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in a radiation therapy department or CAMPEP residency.
• Board eligible by the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Radiation Physics on hire.
• Ability to be listed as an authorized user on the Georgia Radioactive Material License on hire.
• Participation in the ABR Maintenance of Certification program on hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide physics services for planning and delivering therapeutic radiation treatments according to prescriptions.
• Provide technical leadership and clinical set-up expertise to radiation oncologists, dosimetrists and therapists.
• Perform quality assurance checks on all department equipment in line with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
