Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR seeks a Clinical Medical Physicist for a Hybrid role in Myrtle Beach, SC. The position focuses on quality control, equipment calibration, chart checks, and radiation safety within the Radiation Therapy Department.

The candidate will assist the Dosimetrist in treatment planning and must hold a Master’s degree in Physics or a related field with at least two years of clinical experience, including IMRT/LDR/HDR work.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Physics or related field required.
• Minimum two years of clinical experience in a radiation therapy setting.
• Experience with IMRT, LDR and HDR procedures.
• Familiarity with listed QA devices and treatment planning tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the quality control program for the Radiation Therapy Department.
• Calibrate all equipment and perform chart checks.
• Oversee radiation safety functions and maintain related records.
• Assist the Dosimetrist with treatment planning as needed.

Job Description

Physicist is responsible for the quality control program in the Radiation Therapy Department, including calibration of all equipment, chart checks, radiation safety functions and maintaining all records related to such activities and assisting the Dosimetrist in treatment planning.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Physics or related field.
• Two years of clinical experience required, IMRT experience, LDR/HDR experience .
• Experience and familiarity with Tomotherapy 5.1, Mosaiq 2.64 R&V, Eclipse/Aria 15.6 R&V, Velocity 4.1, TrueBeam EDGE 2.7, HyperArc, VariSource HDR and BrachyVision, SunNuclear ArcCheck/SRS MapCheck devices, RadCalc 2nd check, GE CT RT16,Lap Laser systems, and RIT TG142 QA software would be an asset.
• Board Certified, American Board of Radiology or equivalent.
• This is an exempt position.
