Job summary

The successful candidate will calibrate equipment, perform QA, conduct brachytherapy, and develop new procedures while advancing scholarly work in medical physics and radiation oncology.

Qualifications

• PhD (or foreign equivalent) in Medical Physics, physics, biomedical engineering, or related field.
• For Clinical Associate Professor: minimum 5 years’ experience as a clinical medical physicist with a record of research excellence.
• For Clinical Assistant Professor: completion of Part One of the ABR and eligibility for ABR board examinations with research experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Preferred: ABR board certification, NYS license, Varian SBRT/SRS/SRT experience.
• Preferred: HDR procedures and current major research funding.
